A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in economics and English, bringing a well-rounded perspective to the real estate profession. Early in her career, she trained as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities, successfully earning her Series 7, Series 63 and Series 67 licenses. While she ultimately chose a different professional path, the rigorous training provided her with a strong understanding of investments, market analysis and long-term financial planning - knowledge she now uses to help clients make confident real estate decisions.

Before entering real estate, Laura served in a variety of client-focused roles, including as a licensed administrative assistant in Raleigh and Charlotte and as a rental agent at Hound Ears Club in Boone. She later dedicated several years to homeschooling her children before serving as a caregiver and advocate for her closest friend and her husband as they navigated his Parkinson's disease. These experiences deepened her ability to anticipate the needs of others, communicate with empathy and provide steadfast support through life's most important moments.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Laura grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, giving her a meaningful connection to a region that continues to be an important feeder market for the High Country. She remains actively involved in her church and enjoys studying business markets, as well as exploring her growing interests in space weather and geophysics.
